Crisis

Time to add one more finding to the 'in action' series. The google alert has just informed me (useful tool BTW) about this photo:

Woman and her bills

You can see it in action here.

Powered by SmugMug

While listening to Digital Photography Life podcast, I heard a lot of SmugMug and decided to give it a try. From now on my homepage www.sebcz.net is powered by them, I'll see how it goes, for the time being I must say I like it a lot :)

How can you survive the Economy ?

One of the publishers at ColorsNW was kind enough to inform me that one of my photos is being used in a fresh topic article, "How can U survive the Economy." Seems to be a hot subject. Well, that's why I produced the whole series :)

Visit Kopenhagen

Visit Kopenhagen. It's truly a place to see. As long as I am not a big city walker, Kopenhagen definitely has its charm. Interesting, full of surprises, elegant, classy.

Back then, when I was having a bike trip in Denmark/Norway, carrying my Kodak DX7440 pocket camera, I took this classic location shot:

Copenhagen canal, boats.

It's proved to be quite successful in sales. Here is where I found it in use.

And here are some more from the series:

It's been a really good day.

Todays has been really good :) Started off with a great Christmas present from my boss, then I learned two of my images had been used in Ellen's blog about reading. Then I found one of my images in action.

Polish Christmas table

"It's very hard not to eat much during Christmas", begins the article. Indeed :)

Digging deeper, I found this presentation with lots of Dreamstime photos in action. Worth seeing.

Oh, and later I got an email from a Belgium guy whom I met during this summer trip to France. He writes he didn't get any of my emails :( How do I get across the spam filter of his??

Not a bad day, huh?

New lens - Sigma 70-200 f2.8 HSM

My better half agreed to give me my Christmas gift a bit sooner :) My new Sigma 70-200 f2.8 II HSM has just arrived! What a beast! It's heavy but I LOVE the silence and speed of HSM mechanism. Of course I've not yet been able to do my own photo tests (though I shot several frames just to make sure everything is technically right), but I already love it.

This purchase made me sell the Tamron 90 f2.8. - speed and focal duplicate in that situation. Let it serve another user as well as it did to me.

Published in Dutch newspaper

Two women in a meeting

I got a message from a fellow DT user, Oplantz, that one of my photos had been published in a Dutch newspaper Computable.

The article is about a social plan for laid-off HP-workers.
The caption under the photo says that unions want to communicate something via a pamphlet.

So, here is the page. Thanks agains, Olivier, for letting me know !

Busy time

Just wanted to write something here to let you know I am alive :) I have been extremely busy lately, the Editor's duties and my own projects consume so much time I just can't find any more to write anything here...
Meanwhile, a beer to everyone:)
