Unbelievable February!
February '08 on Dreamstime was amazing in terms of my activity and ca$h. I uploaded more photos than I did after returning from Norway in July '07, I earned much more than in my , so far the best, January.

Hotel interiors
Following the classic hotel series, I asked a friend of mine if I could take some shots in his hotel (well, his, meaning he happens to be the manager).
Because almost all the rooms were taken, I was not able to do any particular rooms (apart from a small one, only available), just lobbies and lounges. When we reached the kitchen, it was just supper time, so I quickly removed S10-20 and put on 50 1.7 to make some food shots. One of the waiters was eager to pose, I took some photos of him as well.
All the interior shots went to Home and Hotel Interiors Collection, check there. Here are just a few examples.

Hunting at a mall
Intriguing title? Well, it was just like hunting. Shoot and don't be shot :)
I took my G9 with me to a large store which sells furniture and looked for some stock photo possibilities. All those price tags and copyrighted elements spoil the potentially good shots, some PS action was neccessary.
The employees look at you sternly when you take out your camera, so I took extra care not to be caught :) OK, examples:

Amber Palace series
A new series of interior shots is available. A friend of mine works there (the place is called the Amber Palace Hotel), so I took the opportunity and shot some photos. The place is so full of nice details, I need to go back there and shoot more. The first attempt was done only with wide angle Sigma 10-20. I simply had not enough time on that day...
Here are just a few examples, for the whole series, got to my Home and Hotel collection.
Or, click here to start a flickr slideshow of the whole series.

My referrals - Łukasz
Let me introduce one of my referrals, Łukasz. He's brilliant with his studio shots, I am sure you will love his cute model :)

B/W experiments.
Let me show you some of my recent B/W shots.
The first is a result of my playing with Sigma 10/20. The subject - my too familiar desk. The final result - plying with sliders in PS Camera Raw.:

The second one was dug out from the archives. I took a second look at the colour photo, desaturated it, but kept the green of the plants:

The third photo shows my Canon G9 macro abilities. And my handwriting :)

Editorial license on Dreamstime!
I'm delighted to learn that DT has introduced Editorial licence. Now we can sell images for which we do not have model and property releases. I instantly posted a few shots (below).
As someone mentioned in the message boards, we will now need to retrain our brains to shooting not only those pure stock images, some more reportage etc. will be also useful. Finally, I won't have to refrain from shooting some nice crowds and candids. Sweet.
